I had a breast reduction in han where tissue was screen and all ok

I found a lump on my chest approx3inches below collar bone to the inside

referred by gp

consultant said not cancer and prob a lipoma or fat necrosis ultrasound said it did t look suspicious maybe on my pectoral muscle so sending me for a mri with dye

Got a letter stating all

had mri

then got a call from the consultant saying something h had shown on mri and they do t know what it is and had to have another ultrasound and biopsy

second ultrasound she said she didn’t k know whst  it was as it wasnt presenting   like a tumour but something has come up in mri she was curious and wanted to k is what it was but to be optimistic!

the lump has cause a aching g in my shoulder and muscle and all medical staff say its not related but after the biopsy its worse not just at the needle sight

im so worried now can’t think

  • Hi jasper10,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. I can understand this causing some concern and confusion, although it sounds like the medical team are not too concerned at this point. I'm sure this uncertainty must be difficult to deal with, so I hope it's not too long before you get some answers about this.

Do also discuss the aches with your doctor and that you felt it was worse after the biopsy - hopefully they can advise on this.

I hope you hear more soon.

    Wishing you all the best,

    Ben

  • Hi thanks for your reply

I think the only thing that’s bothering g me is the suspicious area on the MRI, it’s playing on my mind thinking it’s the best test there is so it can’t be wrong

this has given me so much anxiety it’s totally off the scale
