Still waiting for biopsy results

Hello, 

I had a biopsy 3 weeks ago tomorrow. Long story short. I had a 2WW appointment for a lump in my right breast. I am 36. They also found two in my left breast and after the scan said they wanted to do a biopsy on one of them as it looked slightly different to the others that they thought were Fibroadenoma.

After my biopsy the consultant said he would definitely be in contact and if I hadn’t heard within 3 weeks something had gone wrong somewhere (I assume admin wise) and to call them.

so I’m going to phone tomorrow to see what’s going on but just wondered how long other people’s biopsies had taken to come back?

    I'm sorry to hear that you were still waiting for your biopsy results at the time of posting this message. Did you manage to get hold of someone in the breast clinic yesterday to check on what's happening? Don't be afraid to call the breast care nurse if you've not had any news as yet. 

    We know that for many people this period of uncertainty whilst waiting for results can be difficult. If you'd like to chat things through with one of our nurses you're most welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I'm sure they will be happy to offer any advice and support they can.

    Hi LVwill, My core biopsy took 14 days for results they told me between 1 and 3 weeks, it was B3 indeterminate so I had to have a second excision biopsy. They told me the wait is 3-6 weeks this time. It’s been 2 so far. Such an anxious time so I really do understand how you’re feeling. I hope you hear something soon and it’s good news!
