Hi,

I've had altered bowel habits for a year or so, weight loss the past month, fatigue, loss of appetite and some rectal bleeding. I went to the Gp and was sent for a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. They removed a polyp and sent it for testing and I've heard nothing back. She did wrote on the letter no sign of bowel cancer. 

However today I received a letter in the post for a CT scan with contrast of my thorax, abdomen and pelvis. 

I'm just wondering is this is routine after a colonoscopy as I've had no contact from anyone. 

Hoping it's just them being thorough?
