Hello, I recently felt a new lump in breast (have been to breast clinic a few times due to cysts and fibroadenoma).
went to Gp as advised to if any new lumps.
Quickly referred to breast clinic.
Had Mammogram and ultrasound - said they weren’t concerned about lump I had identified but found a few others on the other breast and then started saying there was another area. They called in consultant to have a look. She immediately said oh yes definitely biopsy that as there were calcifications there 2 years ago but now they have changed and have increased.
So they did a core biopsy and said I would hear back from them in around 10 days. It has now been about 12 days since biopsy and I think I am going on the crazy mind train of worry! I just want to know. Also it’s the swift way they went about it without really explaining much about the findings. Or why it mattered now that these calcifications have changed and increased??
also my breast is still very tender after the biopsy and my shoulder and under arm. There is a lump next to where they biopsied which I think they said was a cyst but it had about doubled in size since the biopsy. Could this just be from some internal swelling after biopsy that is pushing the lump up and outwards?
thanks in advance for any and all input, advice and support
