Lobular in one and ductal in the other lump. I am in bits but reassured by the Consultant that it is treatable.

I am sorry to hear this. Did they say what stage the cancers are? It will take some time for this to sink in. Did you discuss surgery or further treatment? Both are certainly treatable and you will get through this.

They said they are grade 2 and that has nothing to do with the stage. They didn't say what stage. I have to have an MRI then another consultation then surgery to remove the lumps. Even though they said my lymph node looked clear they said they will take some of them too.

A lot to process.

Consultant was reassuring and nurse was lovely.

Want to speed up time now.

Sorry, I meant to say grade - you won't get the stage until your post-surgical pathology test. There are many people on this forum, who have had grade 2 cancers removed and are doing well after surgery. I am glad to hear that your lymph nodes look clear. They usually take a few away at the time of surgery. The test they do on these is more specific, than the one they do at the time of a biopsy. I had 6 removed and fortunately, all were clear. This is a good sign that the cancer hasn't spread, so hold on to that.

Have they said when you will get your MRI? This will give a clearer picture of your breast and help your surgeon to know exactly how much tissue needs to be removed.

This is a lot to process, but you can do it. I am glad to hear that both your consultant and your nurse were reassuring. It is always helpful when you can place your trust in your care team

It is only natural that you are all ready to go full steam ahead, as soon as possible, but you'll just have to be patient.

They said the MRI will be in the next week or so.  Like you said, I'll know more after that.

I will try yo be a patient patient.... no option really *smile*
