Welcome back. I am sorry to hear that you still don't feel reassured that all is ok with your breast. Mammograms can occasionally miss certain types of breast cancer and pain is seldom associated with it. However, if you still feel that something is not right, there would be no harm in getting it investigated again.

Hi Nicola,

You know your own body better than anyone, so if you feel that something is not as it should be, please get it investigated. How long is it since you had the mammogram?

feffo get a check lovely it’s best to be safe I read a post here today a lady insisted on ultrasound as Mamo was clear and something was found we no our body’s you will probably be fine but deffo get the check xx love Lara xx

ive rung breast clinic and they said as not that ago i was seen they will see me again without going back to gp and starting again

Said hopefully get an appt in a few weeks

its probably nothing but just you know your own body and just would like an ultrasound really to double check

am i right in thinking sometimes things don’t show on a mammogram?

im not telling anyone this time apart from my husband as feel stupid and a hypochondriac

if you look at the post on here from a few days ago can’t stop crying her name is TCP she insisted on untrasound as mamo didn’t show anything, this is probably not the case for you but it deffo makes you want the reassurance then you can relax x

I'm glad to hear that you've put things in motion. Hopefully, you'll get an ultrasound this time and can then be certain that there is no cancer present. However, as Laraj says, TCP's case shows that it is always best to make sure. It is true that certain types of cancer occasionally fail to show up on mammogram.

The photos are a good idea. Sometimes the old adage "A picture paints a thousand words" turns out to be spot on.

Here's hoping that you get the reassurance you need.
