Hi, about 5 months ago I went to the doctors with a red spot under my left breast and was told it was most likely nothing sinister as it looked like it was healing and going away (it's now gone). Before my appointment I was googling and it was coming up with all sorts of worrying things about cancer which has now made me completely over anxious about any changes that happen to my breasts and about the way my breasts look (I have slight symmetry but don't know if it's something to worry about as before I read up online i d never paid that much attention to my breasts).
After what I read in now constantly checking my breasts and just over a week ago I found a small indent on the side of my left breast. Didn't hesitate and phoned the doctors right away to get it checked. Had a breast examination by my GP and she said she couldn't feel any lumps or bumps thankfully but was going to refer me to my local breast clinic for an ultrasound just to be safe and see us anything was going on i inside.
I'm in a permanent state of anxiety, every symptom in getting in going straight to Google (I know you shouldn't) and everything's telling me it's another red flag for cancer, I'm only 24 years old and I've just been thinking to worst and am petrified about my appointment and what they might say.
Can anyone give me any advise it let me know what to expect? As I'm so so worried.
