Hello there,
I am pretty scared right now. I have had what feels like a UTI that won't go away for the last two weeks. I have pain in my low belly which is new. But bloating, heartburn and indigestion which has been going on several months without let up. I haven't been in this much pain in years.
I went to my local UTC because of the pain and the fact that my antibiotics had run out but I didn't feel any better... I saw a GP who actually treated me like a whole person rather than just the lastest symptom and took my whole medical history.
I had a hysterectomy 10 years ago after having endometriosis since my twenties, my ovaries were left intact. After feeling just how painful my stomach was especially on the left hand side the GP insisted I see my own GP and ask for the CA125 blood test. She gave me a broad spectrum antibiotics.
I went to see my own GP as requested and have had a whole raft of tests carried out, bloods, urine, poop, an ultrasound requested and given fibogel just in case I have a bowel block....
It's just a scary place not knowing what to expect other than I am on a two week referral, and that the blood results should be here either tomorrow or Thursday. Given my history of endometriosis, my age and being past menopause it's hard to look on the bright side of any of it... has anyone else been in the same situation?
