Hi,
I don't know if I'm doing the right thing on reaching out on here, but I was wondering if anyone had experienced something similar or had advice. I've been having constant UTI symptoms for over 6mths now. My urine dipsticks at the GP always seem to show positive for leucocytes and non-haemolysed blood, but negative for nitrates. Due to the physical symptoms, I've had a few courses of antibiotics (which don't appear to help), but when the urine is sent off for further testing, it comes back negative for infection.
I'm in pain, and peeing a ridiculous number of times per day. I've not had a full nights sleep in months because of it - I'm beyond tired. I also feel urgency and not emptying my bladder fully. I'm finally being sent for an ultrasound scan, but after googling (I know, never a good idea), I'm worried it could be something sinister like bladder cancer.....but my GP has not expressed this (at least not to me).
Am I worrying for nothing? I'm quite frankly rather scared, and completely exhausted by this. If anyone who has had/or has bladder cancer could offer some advice regarding their own symptoms and how a diagnosis came around, I'd be grateful.
I don't know if this info will be needed, but I'm a woman in my mid 40s.
