Swollen tonsil and lesion in side of mouth

After months of being dismissed as nothing by GPS and 2 visits to maxofallacial I am about to have one of my tonsils out after i insisted there was something wrong and them getting a ENT dr to take a look and they found it is enlarged. I also have a greyish lesion in the arch bit of my mouth which has been there for longer than the swollen tonsil which no one has mentioned. This is worrying me as the last few weeks I have pain in the right side of my face, inner cheek and ear and under jaw constantly. Also blood tests done show my white blood cell and platelet court are low under range.

I'm nervous about the outcome as well as the op due to infection.
