Dear all,

I am struggling with extreme anxiety while waiting for biopsy results for a skin lesion/ possible sarcoma. 

The biopsy took place on 8th September and I still don't have the results.

I have a relevant medical history in that I have had a previous skin cancer and a previous sarcoma!

I had to have a unrelated blood test on 18th Sept and saw on the hospital system that the biopsy results were available at that date so I expected to get a call shortly after that but I haven't heard anything.

My anxiety is clearly heightened by my medical history but even more so because with my previous sarcoma diagnosis took 5 weeks as they had to send it to different specialists for second opinions.

I have phoned my GP - they haven't received the results but are now chasing. I have contacted my consultant's secretary 3 times but just have the response that she will pass my message to the consultant.

I'm not sure that there is anything else I can do but felt that writing it all down might help my anxiety.
