So for posting this but I’m embarrassed and a little worried. Simple question is this is bowel cancer blood persist? Like you bleed all the time without any other symptoms? I know a GP can only definitely say for sure.
Long story short I lost me dad in April this year to bowel and liver cancer, so now I’m terrified that a symptom related to bowel is potentially bowel cancer if that makes sense. Anyway I’ve noticed since February last year (2022) I’ve had on off bleeding from behind, constipation and the occasional bad stomach. It’s always bright red blood but it comes and goes some weeks/months go by and I’m fine then I notice blood always on the toilet paper. I went to the GP last year described my symptoms did the whole blood and stool test came and came back clear for cancer and anything “nasty or sinister” as my GP put it. But ever since me dad got diagnosed and unfortunately lost his fight, I’m more aware of the symptoms.
So she my GP put it down to IBS and haemorrhoids, since I said I had like burning and stinging along with itching and pain when going to the toilet when I had the blood. I’m still getting on off blood on the toilet paper along with the other issues that come with haemorrhoids. So since the blood comes and goes along with haemorrhoid symptoms could this possibly rule out bowel cancer blood, I’m just terrified that a GP will say oh I’ll refer you for a colonoscopy, I’m 30 and have autism so I struggle with hospital related issues at the best of times. Any advice would be great
