I can understand the uncertainty around this must be difficult and I know the waiting is not easy - it's good to hear you don't have too long to wait for the appointment now.

Hi there,

l completely know how you feel. I’m 24 and have a few dimples on the inside lower area of my left breast. After poking around I realised I have a faint one on another area on the right one too and I spent all weekend panicking as I also found no positive stories online. However, I went to the GP and she examined me and said she’s not worried at all and that it looks like normal skin texture. I was really relieved, this was a few months ago and the other day I noticed I felt like one area was almost bulging out a bit also (separate to the dimples.) I’m calling again tomorrow and going to ask for a referral to the breast clinic just in case. During my exam, she did say that I had naturally “lumpy” breasts though so it’s not uncommon. However, I want to get a full mammogram/ultrasound really for my own peace of mind. I get you though as I was genuinely freaking out and crying too, but the sooner you speak to a professional, you’ll feel better. Xxx 

That’s where my dimpling area is as well! Although I have to stand with my arm up and look sideways in the mirror to catch a glimpse of it! Wbu? Horrible isn’t it - I’m catastrophically thinking of all the worst possible outcomes and it’s very consuming as I have health anxiety also which gets triggered quite easily. My skin texture seems normal as well but have my breast clinic appt tomorrow with consultant and will update afterwards! Xx

I also have lumpier boobs as stated by my doc but this isn’t surprising as to my knowledge they’ve always been quite lumpy x

Yes I’m the same only when I lift my arm up. I actually didn’t mind the dimples after she said they were fine the last time, I just feel like I keep seeing new changes but it could also be because I get anxious about it too. Hopefully your appointment goes well and puts your mind at ease! I’ll be seeing the consultant tomorrow too and I’m going to push for the breast clinic for the sake of my mind. Xxx
