Hello everyone,
I have just joined this forum. I am 42 and currently waiting to be seen in the clinic for my results. I have a lump in my breast and got referred to hospital to check it out. My GP did the physical examination and said it is most probably nothing. I had my appointment with the consultant which also reassured me that is probably nothing. They sent me to mamo and ultrasound..again as per their local policy. The ultrasound was worrying and the results of ultrasound showed 90% risk of tumour cells in my breast. They did biopsy and I also did MRI last week.
Impatiently waitng for my results now. I cannot sleep at all and can’t stop thinking about it. I keep thinknig how they could tell me it’s 90% cancer just by looking at the ultrasound…is it that accurate? Has anyone had any similar experience?
I just want this nightmare to be over…
