Hi all,
I’m just on here seeking advice or to see if anyone had a similar experience. So Nov 2022 I noticed a lump in my left breast, I had it examined by the doctor and they didn’t seem too concerned. The lump itself is smooth, round and easily movable, when I had it examined the doctor estimated that it was around 2.2cm and I’d say it’s the same size now as it was back then or maybe slightly bigger. The lump itself doesn’t usually cause me any problems, I don’t have normal periods any more due to being on birth control but I would say there’s times I noticed that the lump feels bigger/more tender.
The thing that is concerning me now is the tissue in my left breast where the lump is feels a lot harder than in my right and the tissue is tender and sometimes the aches extend up to under my arm. I’ve also noticed that my breast seems to be larger. Other than that I’ve had no other symptoms, no skin changes, dimpling or nipple discharge/pain.
It makes me even more worried because my grandma passed from breast cancer at around 41 and my mum had breast cancer early last year, luckily she beat it. I’m going to ring the doctors first thing Monday, I tired getting an appointment a couple of months back but I was hit with the ‘no appointments’ I realise that I’m not technically high risk for BC because I’m only 21 so I didn’t want to ‘waste’ the doctors time but now it’s really starting to bother me, to the point I’m thinking about it everyday and thinking the worst.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this or could give me some advice?
Thanks everyone.
