Worried about lump in shoulder

So im 21M and have major health anxiety! i found a lump in my collarbone/shoulder and went to the GP the same day, they said it felt like muscle/fascia but im not sure! i had a bit of a scare 2 year ago with some lymph nodes in my neck which turned out to be ok (had a nasalendoscopy done) the lump moves, does not hurt, flexes(?) when i suck my tongue and cheeks in, and when i turn my head the o er was it stiffens and is unable to move, im unsure if this could be a lymph node or not! its not there on the other side or if it is, its not visible. i am also quite a skinny man as im about 180cm  11st and have a few small palpable lymph nodes in my neck for a few years now, but this isnt small!

  • Hello smxthie

I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with some concerns about your health at the moment and despite some reassurance from the GP you're still worried.

I don't know if you've previously spoken with your GP about your health anxiety or had any support in learning how to manage it. It may be a sensible idea to make an appointment with your Dr surgery to chat about this. Hopefully they will be able to give you some further reassurance about the lumps that you're concerned about.

in the meantime, there's some helpful information on the NHS website about health anxiety and you may find it useful to read through some of their advice and information to help you better manage your mental health.

I do hope things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,
