2 week referral

I have been referred on the 2 week pathway after finding a lump in my breast, after only having breast surgery a year ago due to another lump that needed to be removed for further investigation - which turned out to be ok! However, this lump is very different so I am worried sick! In the last couple of days whilst waiting I’ve got this horrible numbness feeling in my armpit and down my arm on the same side of the lump and I now it’s making me worry even more! 

I’m not really surely what I want to get out of writing this post but I just feel alone with own thoughts and google so thought maybe this would be a better place to reach out if anyone has/is going through something similar!

    Hello Bubbles ,you are bound to be worried. Try and stay positive,hopefully all will be fine . Keep busy now and let us know how you get on . Xxx

    Hi Bubbles,

    I empathise with you totally. I discovered a lump in my other breast only 6 months after I had surgery. My consultant thought that this was another cancer, but fortunately, biopsy proved otherwise. A year after my first surgery, I developed a lump in my original breast and this time, I wasn't so lucky.  I had a lumpectomy first time round, followed by Tamoxifen. For the second bout, I had a double mastectomy, followed by Letrozole for 6 and a half years. I was first diagnosed 14 years ago and I still lead a busy and fulfilling life.

    I hope that your appointment comes through soon. I sincerely hope that all turns out ok for you and hope that you feel a little better for writing down your story.

    Thank you for your reply, I’m sorry for what you went through, that’s all I have in my head that “how can I be lucky for another time” it’s reassuring to hear how positive you are 14 years on though!! 
    I know what will be, will be but the waiting is so hard!! 
    It is refreshing to talk freely on here, I will let you know my outcome, my appt isn’t until 28th which seems so far away but I know it’s a busy service and I’m not the only person in this position, I’m sure it’ll be here before I know it!
