First appointment at hospital on Thursday- tethering

Hi everyone,

I’m 55 and last week was referred to the breast clinic by my doctor as I have puckering under my breast- also known as tethering. Neither my doctor nor I can feel a lump. I’m absolutely terrified at the prospect of what’s ahead, which is very unlike me. I’m usually such a strong and resilient person. Trying to carry on with my everyday life is so hard- I’m a teacher- and I don’t currently feel able to talk to anyone about it, as I will just cry.
i just wanted to introduce myself, and wish you all luck and love for whatever lies ahead x

  • A very warm welcome to Cancer Chat GoonerGirl68 although I'm sorry for the worry this is causing.

I noticed from some of your other posts today that you now have to wait until Monday for further tests. This must be very frustrating but our community are here for you and I'm sure some of them will stop by soon to offer their support and share their experiences with you.

You can also speak to one of our nurses about this on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to put your mind at ease during this anxious time.

I know the next few days are going to be tough but we're thinking of you GoonerGirl68 and will have our fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,
