Hi everyone,

I've seen a few posts here about the anxiousness and worry to get results, the ones I've been looking at is breast cancer. But I've noticed that not many people have mentioned if someone in their family has had it before. 

I don't have any family history for cancer, yet I've noticed a small lump on my left breast. After seeing the doctor he referred me to the breast clinic, I've yet to receive an appointment.

The only thing that is keeping me positive is remembering that we haven't had any cancer in my immediate family. But I just read that it's still possible. 

I'm 40 years old, and I've not had any scares or hormonal problems. 

Any advice or stories, please.would be very appreciated.
