I would also like to note I (stupidly) waited around 3 weeks before seeking help and regret that. So if anyone out there is worried about a lump or bump, get it checked out straight away! 

Hi, not a male….but hopefully there will be some to give you support soon. Like yourself I waited 4 weeks before visiting my GP, thinking it would go away, also 2 week referral, I have an 8 year and two year old, I only remember a few memories from being 8 let alone 2 so I also worry that they would never remember me, hopefully it will be nothing to worry about and we will both be fine. Good l uck hopefully you get some men replying soon too.

I had a txt message from my GP surgery this morning to say I should get my appointment in the next week and be seen within 2, however from what others have said on other threads in preparing for a l ger wait than that. I go on holiday at the end of the month so really hoping I’ve had my appointment by then, if not I suppose on the plus side it will hopefully take my mind off it haha . Keep us i ormed how you get on.

I’m having trouble sleeping and just wondered how you got on at your appointment on Friday? I totally understand if you would rather not talk about it but I’m hoping it all went well for you? I now have my appointment on Wednesday morning, so glad I have it but the closer it gets the more anxious I’m getting, most likely why I can’t sleep.

Apologies I went quiet on here! Life has been pretty hectic the past couple weeks.

So, after a doctor gave me a quick examination, he concluded that he believes have gynocamastea, which I believe is generally caused by hormonal change.

He didn’t completely rule out breast cancer though. I’ve been sent for blood tests and an ultrasound to determine what is going on.

Although I was relieved to here it’s probably not breast cancer, he did explain it could be testicular cancer or something wrong with a gland somewhere.

So I’m still very much in the dark and am awaiting more testing.

Still have a lump that doesn’t seem to be shrinking or hurting any less.

I hate not knowing.

I hope you have found sleeping easier and have a date for your appointment 

Hi, glad to hear that they don’t believe it to be too serious and that you are having further tests to be sure. 

I had my appointment last Wednesday, unfortunately they told me they think my lump is “very suspicious” and after finding the lump in an ultrasound and mammogram they have taken biopsies so they can confirm and prepare a treatment plan. 

even though I still don’t know 100% I have to wait 2 weeks for my results so I’m just as anxious as I was before, if not more so, they also said consultants are on strike so I don’t when it will be, I also go on holiday on 29th so really hope I have some answers before then.

I hope your appointments come through soon.
