Hi all. 

I’m 24 and had been referred to Gynaecology for a 2WW referral due to a thickened uterine lining and a polyp. My lining was 13.6mm after being bleeding for two months straight.

My referral to the NHS was rejected as I am not post menopausal, so I took the steps to go private. I had a hysteroscopy, polypectomy (several found), a diathermy treatment and the mirena coil inserted. I have also been diagnosed with PCOS. This was the 1st September.

My consultant has said that I need to wait until my follow up appointment on October 23rd for the results of the biopsy. This seems so long?! 

Is this normal for private hospitals? It’s agonising not knowing.
