I'm a 63 year old woman and I've found a hard lump in my left breast. I had a normal mammogram in November 2022
I've been to the breast clinic before several times with what they eventually explained as 'lumpy breasts'. One consultant told me not to come again with one particular area as it was a 'normal lump'.
Since I went to the clinic I have been through the menopause (8+ years post menopausal and not on HRT) and my breasts are both much less lumpy, but the other day I was rubbing some ibuprofen cream on what felt like muscle pain under my armpit when I noticed this hard lump.
I can't remember if this is the area the consultant told me not to come back with. In any case, this lump wasn't there last time I did a breast exam. I guess I am pretty scared of wasting time and getting told off again.
I have also recently had a torn rotar cuff and has an ultrasound scan on my shoulder. The sonographer reported muscle degradation in my arm and shoulder unconnected with the tear. All in all I'm pretty worried but not sure if it's just 'lumpy breasts' again.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
