I have finally been given an app at the dermatologist for a change in a mole after a lot of recent sun exposure.

Hi,
They will examine your mole using a dermascope and decide if it's either a) nothing to worry about, b) probably OK but want to monitor it and call you back after 6 months or c) advise it needs removing for biopsy. Don't panic if they need it removing - this is because it's the only way to know if it's malignant or precancerous (dysplastic). They will arrange for it to be done as a day patient, under local anaesthetic, a few weeks later.
