Scared of colon cancer

OK so sure you've all heard this before but I'm so scared. I'm 37 years old and have two young girls. Im going through a divorce and suffered a recent bereavement.

Two weeks ago I started to get really bad stomach cramps and diarrhea coupled with Nausea and light-headedness.  The diarreah has since fluctuated into constipation and when it does my sides and lower back hurt. The stomach cramps got worse but have now eased a little but as I say increased on sides and lower back.  I had four days of awful migraines.  My poops are narrow  though I haven't seen obvious black sticky tarry poops. In fact very yellow.

I'm super super frightened. I was diagnosed with IBS about 10 years ago but I've just managed it and it's never been like this. This all feels new and unusual and more painful. I've had a history of piles also. To make things worse I just found out my estragend father at 60 had cancerous polyps removed.

Please help calm me. I have to do three poo tests and blood tests and I've booked a appointment with a specialist on private cover.

  • Now I have a tightness and pain  just  below my diaphram.  I think it's impacting on my breathing though difficult to tell because  I'm asthmatic

  • Hi LegalMark,

I’m so sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing. It seems like you have an awful lot going on.

You seem really anxious and so I wanted to just take a few moments to reply to you.

I don’t know whether some of the symptoms you’re describing might be caused by your anxiety, especially your horrendous (by the sounds of it) migraine.

It’s been a little while since you last posted. Hope you’re getting on ok.

    Best Wishes

    Rich
