Does anyone understand this from my most recent Endometrial biopsy. I have biopsies done as have atypical endometrial hyperplasia.
I had a repeat biopsy done as my last one showed a tiny detached fragment showing CDX2 positivity and favoured to represent squamous morule. Squamous morules can be seen in benign and malignant conditions, including atypical endometrial hyperplasia and carcinoma
My re-biopsy says:
Multiple pieces of soft, pale and hemorrhagic tissue together measuring 15 × 10 × 5 mm. All embedded in one block.
MICROSCOPIC REPORT:
Exogenous progestational effect consistent with Mirena IUS in situ with shed endometrium and pink cell with papillary syncitial metaplasia expressing P 16 as expected. There is a possible focus of squamous morule but could not be confirmed as it has cut out on CDX2 immunostain.
SQUAMOUS MORULE MAY BE ASSOCIATED WITH A RANGE OF BENIGN OR MALIGNANT
Does anyone understand this at all please?
Thank you
