Help :( melanoma worry

Hey so ive been suffering f m health anxiety really ba d since i had my baby 11 mont ago . And this is my late no judgment please . Im in the uk . I couldn't pick off a melanoma could I? I had this weird black mark on my foot between my big toe and first toe that I picked off  . I broke the skin and picked the black off  with tweezers it bled and the skin has now healed normal . Doctor said I wouldn't be able too pick that off ? I've not thought about it for weeks and now I'm panicking again. this sucks I do suffer with athletes foot so the skin is broken between my toes alot .

    Hi Esme,

    I'm not an expert on whether a cancerous mole can be picked off. However, I do know that some people who have knocked off a scabby mole and it's then grown back, have later found it's dysplastic (precancerous) or melanoma. So my advice is to keep an eye on the area to see if the black mark returns. If it does, don't touch it and go straight back to your GP for it checking out. Hopefully it won't come back but even if it does, it doesn't necessarily mean it's melanoma but it needs a doctor to look at it for your peace of mind.
