Just popping in as I'm feeling very sad today..
I've previously posted about my 2w teferal to gynae taking so long. They told me up to 20 weeks.
I wrote to palls the icb and the ombudsman but no one could help.. I contacted my mp Angela Rayner but just had a standard response.
Eventually after waiting 8 weeks I put some bits of money together and had a private consultation. I needed a scan. The scan showed an endometrial thickness of 18mm. The consultant said I need a hysteroscopy and biopsy under general anaesthetic.
I contacted the nhs and saw a consultant today. She can't rule out endometrial cancer. She has requested a hysteroscopy and biopsy awake as the GA wait is too long. She's told me ultimately I need a hysterectomy.
I feel so let down and scared. I've been telling my gp for 18 months that things weren't right. He blamed the menopause and hrt.
My partner cane for tea and can't cope so went home. I feel very alone right now
