need some help with my throat

Im 17 and for just more then a week I've had a sore throat and just yesterday i noticed a my lymph node was swollen. it all started when i got sick for just a day which i thought was down to paintballing which was really physical and tiring as i spent a full 7 hours doing it but now I'm just worried as this sore throat wont go away. i just want someone to tell me what's wrong because all google says is the worst thing possible

Hello a bitscared,I am not medical but swollen lymph glands usually means some kind of infection.When my son was in his teens ,he would always be rundown during school exams ,always having swollen glands on neck and feeling washed out . He had blood test to rule out Glandular Fever . It was fine .
Try and make an appointment with your Gp and have it checked to put your mind at rest .
