Maybe they will look for changes in 6 months. I've had 6 month follow ups for breast cysts to see if they grow or go away. Good Luck!

Everyone assumes when you're 50, you get your mamo appointment, and that is that. It doesn't work that way because having everyone in as soon as they turn 50 would be almost unworkable. I'm sure England works the same way, but here in Scotland, appointments for mamos are done on a rota system, and that covers a 3 year period. For example, if your gp was included in the last rota, and you just turned 50 after that, you'd have to wait until 53. So in theory, you could have your first mamo at 53 rather than 50. Some get it before. So if you're not far of 50, maybe that is something to do with it. If you're mid 40's or younger, then it's probably nothing to do with it
