I don’t know what your pain is obviously, but I understand breast pain. I had it for years, no palpable lump, nothing showing on mammograms. GP told me it was entirely normal and not to worry about it.

Long story short it was lobular breast cancer - which can be very hard to see on a mammogram particularly if breasts are dense, mine are. Mine was only spotted on ultrasound and MRI.

Have your GP referred you to a breast clinic? They are the experts.

been ther they also said it could be anxiety they gave me the mammogram which they said showed nothing but 3 months since visit i am still taking painkillers for 

the pain i went down the rabbit hole of google and my symptoms did point to lobular which i mentioned to doctor but said i was creating a diagnose how long did you put up with pain if you dont mind me asking thank you

I wonder why the Doc refused to refer you ,after all you were paying for it yourself ,you actually shouldn't have to pay for it if you are in so much pain they should rule out anything serious with an ultrasound even if its just to put your mind at rest there's nothing worse than constantly thinking and worrying about something ,I hope you get sorted .

Five and a half years of intermittent, bearable pain, always in the same area. Two clear  mammograms during this time. This morphed into three months of constant, worse pain, still in the same area. Skin there then thickened, but mammogram still clear. Ultrasound and MRI then identified 20mm lobular in same area where I had felt the pain all that time. I have now had surgery and the pain has gone.

How are you doing now? I’m so glad you persisted to get checked! I’ve had pain for about 18 months now and my nipple has inverted even more since my first referral to clinic in March 22. I’ve also had two clear mammograms and an ultrasound but I worry that there is definitely still something wrong. 
This is the first and last thing I think about every single day so been referred back to hospital but been waiting 5 weeks your appointment. I am sick with worry and can’t stop fearing the worst.

 PaulineMc  I am Ok thank you on surgery side, but now have the exact same intermittent tugging pain in my other breast … I am really fed up with it.

I rang the breast care nurses in June and got the standard script, breast pain is normal, take ibuprofen, nothing showed on mammogram or MRI. But they were looking at the other side then. I put it in my diary to call them again in September, but am expecting the same response.

But enough of me, how far through your 5 week wait for an appointment are you now? Do you have a date for it now?

I understand how you think of it almost constantly, it does dominate the mind. Easy to say, but try to keep busy.
