Got my app at the breast clinic for next Wednesday. Absolutely petrified and trying mh best to keep it together. At least not too long to wait xx

Hi, hope you’re ok.

I went to my appointment and the consultant didn’t seem concerned about the dent at all and she couldn’t really see it, and said there was no lump in that area, but she did ffind a lump in my other breast.but  I had a mammogram which was clear and an ultra sound over the lump and another area was told it was just lumpy breast tissue and all ok. I still have the dent now, so assume it’s just part of my breast, you can see it better in certain lighting. So just goes to show, it can be absolutely nothing to worry about xx 

Thank you for your reply, just so anxious. I literally have to stand sideways in the right amount of lighting to see mine. But of course. Have myself diagnosed already! I really hope it’s morning as well x

Yep mine is the same, I used to spent hours moving in the light looking at it. I could see it more in certain lighting. Have you got a breast clinic appointment? X

I have my appt Tuesday morning at 9.30. Spent all this evening crying. Have a 7 month old and just of course thinking the worst possible outcomes. Did you find out on the day & did they give any possible reasons? My GP couldn’t see mine either - as I said, the lighting wasn’t right. But it’s is defo there! 

Yes I got my results there and then and I was in there about an hour in total. My gp could see it but the consultant couldn’t, but like you it’s certain angles and light, but there was no lumps that concerned her and my scan was all fine. 
I was told that the majority of lumps and dents etc are absolutely nothing to worry about, but always best to get them checked just in case, so try to stay positive - easier said than done I know, ad I’m currently waiting on a mole app, which has changed. Try to keep busy if you can and focus on the fact you should have some answers on Tuesday and hopefully some reassurance x 

I suffer with health anxiety too, which is quite severe so I know what you’re going through. It can be crippling at times can’t it, especially with stuff like this hanging over us and it consumes my life at times. 
The waiting is the worst because our mind plays tricks on us and we starting thinking of all the what ifs, and worst case scenario etc. but I know woman who have been referred to the breast clinic and have gotten good and positive news, so there is every chance it is not something sinister. Our breast change for all sorts of benign reasons too. I’m just keeping busy at rhe moment and I’ve been using a relaxing app on a night to help me sleep, as stop me thinking, but there is only so much you can do, and just got to try and take one day at a time x 

It’s horrible. I’ve had it years and it gets triggered. Does yours? Mines triggered since my skin cancer dx at the start of the year. I really hope so although all I can imagine are of course the worst outcomes and possibilities. Can I ask how old you are? I’m 28 & also find people fob me off a bit which is really insulting as cancer doesn’t discriminate. I just keep thinking if I get through 2 more days I’ll have some answers the following
