Not sure if I’m being crazy or if I should see a gp.

Hi, I’m a 25 year old woman. We all know the nhs is struggling right now so I really don’t want to waste a gp’s time unnecessarily. Just over 3 weeks ago i noticed what appeared to be an infection o my lower leg. I’ve had a lot of infections in my life, so thought nothing of it. It was red and hot and felt tight and swollen. Every time I’m out for the day it hurts, the pain radiates up and down y lower leg, even into my foot and knee. Now, I’ve been in bed for 4 days with a bad cold so have been resting. All the redness and pain has gone, now I can feel a long bump. It’s about 3” long. In e middle of my shin, I can feel it going up then coming down if I run my fingers down my shin. It also goes out to the sides. It’s like a big, hard blob. Its not smooth, it’s a bit bumpy and also a t warmer than the rest of my leg. I went out for the first day yesterday since being in bed with the cold, and since then I’ve had random pains in that area again. But it doesn’t hurt to touch it. W n I’m cold the patch appears a purple ish colour. I should also note there is no cut or wound for the infection to have started. Nor have I injured my leg at all. I just presumed it was a little inf tion becuase it was red and hot. But now it’s just a hard, flat lump. Not sure if I’m being dramatic, but there are so many devastating cases I see on social media all the time. I feel alright in my lf, just a bit tired / run down for the last couple of months. If someone could tell me I’m being dramatic that would be great  haha!
