my dog took me to the breast clinic too she is tiny but pushed to my boob the pain was bad I was always told if it’s painful it’s not cancer it wasn’t the case for me , hopefully yours will be good news wishing you all the very best lovely love Lara here to chat anytime xxx

May my first appointment I could feel the room change when they used the ultrasound, I was told it was suspicious there and then but I never felt a lump only a heaviness and when my dog jumped on to me the pain was horrific I thought thsts two things I need a breast clinic appointment xxx 

Results Thursday 9am. The nurse first to give me the results at 0845  then the surgeon at 9am to tell me what they are going to do about it!! We have 3 doggies and the one who stood on my lump was o rescue- she was used as a breeding dog in an Irish puppy farm for 6 years and lived in a tiny cage. People can be so so cruel .

my dog is my world just got back from Spain I couldn’t even look at a photograph her there as I miss her so much xxx she not a dog sees my baby lol

I too will get my results Thursday from my biopsies etc.  Just over 2 weeks ago, suspicious mammogram, sent to Breast clinic last Thursday, put in markers, text Friday Morning with a follow up letter Saturday to see the Surgeon Thursday!  Surprised by the speed and surprised that I may have another cancer in the same breast that was treated for cancer 31 years ago! Had a lumpectomy and radiation. I am now 67, and have been so lucky up to now.  So will be with you in spirit Thursday, best of luck x

good luck for results that’s crazy 39 years but they told me this it could come back 50 years time xx 

Thanks Lara, not surprised if it is, my mother had 2 primary breast cancers in each breast, 15 years apart, and then 15 years later cancer in the uterus, she survived all 3 and died at 95 of pretty much old age.  I have been BRC1 tested negative, I think I have done well so far lol!  I do feel for you young folk, I was 36 first time round, I know what you are going through.  Now I am more philosophical, I retired in feb this year, would be nice to have a few years retirement, and that's what I hope for.

oh my your poor mum went through it too , yes I was 48 on diagnosis 49 now 

did you take the hormone tablet or was it around then ?

Yes Tamoxifen  was the new wonder drug. It put me into early menopause and I was like a mad woman lol! I came off it, my survival rate then was 82 .1/2% percent with it or 82% without. My mother was on it for a number of years until she had cancer in the uterus, which her doctor believed a direct result of Tamoxifen. Well, I stay hopeful for results, no one has told me I have cancer, yet! I like to be well armed when dealing with the NHS lol, and thought it wise to do a bit of research in how things have changed from 31 years ago. Have you finished your treatment Lara? x

Yes all finished started the evil tablets in nov , had little effects but the last month they have started xx

Hi Cas, let me know how it went.  Got my results today- Stage 2 oestrogen positive. Put on letrozole immediately to get all the oestrogen out asap - plus of course I have to stop HRT. Not looking forward to the night sweats and hot flushes!! Operation for WLE booked for 29th Sept. Would have been a bit sooner but we have a holiday booked so it’s nice we can still go. 

The radiologist had already pretty much prepared me for bad news so I expected it. Feel very shocked still though. Telling people won’t be fun either! At least I know what happening now though so that’s good. Also the consultant I am getting is also the one that does all the plastic breast surgery so am hoping for a very neat scar!
