A week ago in the shower I noticed a black spot at the top of my hip. On inspection it’s small about 2mm black and raised. It’s defiantly new and looks like a blood blister, but it is not. It did bleed when I touched it and I was not being rough. I have abused the sun regrettably, traveled a lot, got burnt a lot and used sunbeds in the past. All while I was a careless youngster, I’m now 47. After googling it, I know you shouldn’t but then again it prompted my to visit my GP, I looks very much like a nodular melanoma. My GP has asked me to return to the surgery for another inspection through a dermascope or something but I can’t go until a week on Monday. Does anybody have any similar experiences, I’ve basically told myself it is NM and the wait now is going to drive me mad.
