I found a lump in my left breast next to my nipple on the evening of 5th July. I rang my doctors first thing and got an appointment that day. They felt it too so referred me to the 2 week waiting clinic and I had a mammogram, ultrasound and a needle biopsy on the lump and an inflamed lymph node on the 11th and was told on the 20th that I had breast cancer and would need a lumpectomy and chemo but only 2 of the 3 test results on the lymph gland had come back so they can’t book my treatment in. 3 weeks and 2 days later they are still not back. Why is it taking so long; it could spread throughout my body and possibly become terminal is my thinking and the lump is slightly increased and get bigger so maybe a mastectomy could be the result. This is really bad on my mental health, Any support, shared experience, advice would be greatly appreciated.
