Hello,

Yesterday I had surgery to remove a large warty lesion from my perineum (I'm female) I am so so stupid, I'd had this cluster of warts in this area for around 10 years, I had been to the GUM clinic previously and had them frozen a few times but they came back in the same area.

I am really concerned as I have read online that most genital warts go on their own after 2 years, why had mine not gone?

I am not awaiting histology results on the warty lesion and I am petrified that it is cancer :(

    I'm sorry to hear that you've had some ongoing health problems that have recently resulted in you needing a surgical procedure. We know that for many people this period of waiting for results can be difficult and it's understandable that you're worried at the moment.
