Bottom Question

Hello. I've had minor amounts of blood on toilet paper after going to the toilet for many years now. Used to suffer from fissures but that stopped, again probably years ago but not entirely sure on the timescale. So I used to put it down to the fissures, but after I noticed they had seemed to have stopped I still had the issue.

Went to the doctor awhile ago and he had a look, but didn't feel around. He said probably internal hemorrhoids. I'm wondering, should he have felt around/inside? Is that always required?

I'm sorry to hear that you've had some concerns about blood that you've seen when using the toilet.

It's good to hear that you've already seen your GP and that they didn't have any immediate cause for concern. However it sounds as if you're still feeling worried about your symptoms so do get back in touch with your GP to talk things through with them. Hopefully they will be able to give you some reassurance.

    Best wishes,
