I’m 42.
Last year I had 12-14 polyps removed in three colonoscopies. Largest 15mm, average 6.8mm. All over the colon. Some polyps were in folds and one was near the large intestine meets the small.
Last month I got severe pains in my abdomen below belly button radiating to back of right hip. Bowel movements have increased and variety. First FIT came up borderline. So done another FIT.
Other symptoms include loss of appetite (lost over half a stone in 2.5 weeks), dark red blood on loo paper on wiping and extreme tiredness. Go to bed early and still tired. Had blood tests and fine - most things were mid range.
The pain is more intense than before I had the polyps removed and only lost about 2lb.
My GP has referred me to fast track for suspected bowel cancer.
I was planning to spend a few days away about 100 miles from here and my parents and I have decided to cancel the trip.
Any suggestions to get the pain reduced?
I work at a supermarket and on my feet most of the time and physical work. There’s not much sitting down jobs.
Any advice will be greatly welcomed
