Lump under tonsil - Anti biotics did nothing. Had no symptoms apart from a dry/Sore throat.

Hi

I noticed a lump on the inside of my throat and went to see a doc who thought it was acute tonsillitis as I only had a sore throat. I was given anti biotics and after it had finished the lump was still there and still have a sore throat. 

I then went to see an ENT who has booked me in for a biopsy to check what it is as he doesnt know. Im absolutely bricking it, I feel like the growth appeared for within a week? but its been 3 weeks now and it hasnt grown nor has it gotten smaller. Any advice? or anyone know what it could be?

    Unfortunately no one will be able to tell you what this lump could be but you took the right steps in going to the doctor's and then getting an appointment to see an ENT. I am sorry to hear that the antibiotics didn't do anything and the lump and sore throat are still there. It's good that they have booked you in for a biopsy to check this in more detail. All you can do for now is wait and this is truly the hardest thing as so many members of our community will know too well - here are some helpful tips though to help you cope while waiting for important news.
