Am a 39 year old . I had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 25 since then I’ve had lots of problems . When I had my hysterectomy they let both my oviers . I keep getting lower pain in my left side and for a number of years it’s got that bad I’ve been on morphine for pain as well as other stronger tablets . I’ve had ct scans , mri , the only thing they could find was I had a enlarged spleen 7 years ago with multiple cysts on it ( they have decided to leave  doing anything with them ) moving on still getting pain in my left side lower stomach and groin I went for a scan on Sunday (23rd) and yesterday morning I had a message from doctor to say they have found a cyst and referred me to gynaecologist straightaway now am worried results usually take longer than 24 hours to come back from a ultrasound. Am thinking all sorts why would they get my results straightaway

  • Welcome to our forum, Lou1204.

I'm sorry to hear about your health concerns. It's not uncommon for doctors to prioritise certain cases, and getting your results quickly doesn't necessarily mean there's a major issue.

Hopefully other Cancer Chat members who can relate to your story will come alond shortly to share their experiences with you but it might be best to follow up with the specialist to determine the nature of the cyst and explore the appropriate treatment options.

That being said, if you feel like chatting things over with one of our nurses, they'd be happy to talk things over with you Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m on this freephone 0808 800 4040.

    Stay hopeful and take care.

    Best wishes,
