I had a lletz procedure in April, CIN1 found and was told I would need a test of cure in 6 months 

had vulva biopsy 2 weeks ago and that has come back VIN3 so I have an appointment with general surgery on Friday 

I have received another appointment today for 16th August for another colposcopy, I am very confused my cervix was fine in April so why do they need to do another colposcopy 

the results letter advises a vulvoscopy, is this what I’m having Friday then colposcopy 2 weeks later

im really starting to worry as nobody has actually spoken to me

test results and appointments have appeared on MFT app so I haven’t really got a clue what is going on but it’s scary

    Is there a telephone number you can ring on your letter to get some advice? I'd ask at your appointment on Friday to see if they can explain what the appointment in August is for.

    A colposcopy doesn't just check the health of your cervix. It can be used to check the wall of your vagina as well (this is how they found my pre-cancerous changes on the wall of my vagina years ago). It sounds to me like they are being really thorough and checking that everything looks the way it should but definitely telephone or ask on Friday to put your mind at rest.

    Thank you, there is not a number on the letter it is just the booking office so I have to wait till the appointment Friday and maybe get some answers x
