A lot depends on what type of hyperplasia…if it’s atypia, which is what I have after it was found in a polyp, then it’s more of a worry than if it’s without atypia..atypia means precancerous cells and the treatment is usually a hysterectomy…however my hysterectomy had to be put back three months while I got my blood sugars down and in the meantime they’ve given me a mirena coil…mirena coil is also offered to younger women who may not have finished having children yet.

I expect they have removed the polyps or will remove them, that’s what they did with me..I’m older than you and post menopausal.  Waiting for biopsy results is awful, I’ve waited anything from 10 days to 6 weeks…I got my latest biopsy result yesterday after 5 weeks, this was thankfully normal so I’m still hoping the hyperplasia was just in the 1 polyp…

im having my hysterectomy on 18th September, I will then have another wait for the biopsy results…there is still a 40% chance that cancer will be found, but I just have to hope I’m in the 60%.
