I had a vulva biopsy 2 weeks ago and just had the results which is VIN3, it is suggested I have a vulvoscopy and have an appointment with a general surgeon next week.

im confused, isn’t a vulvoscopy a biopsy of the vulva which I have already had ?

the appointment letter doesn’t say what it’s for but the results letter said arranging a vulvoscopy

I now have to wait and see what happens when I go to the appointment which is very frustrating

anyone else had anything similar? X

Hi Debz

A vulvoscopy is an examination of the vulva using a special microscope and some staining solution (which might sting a bit) to see if there are any more abnormal areas.

I was just confused, not sure how to message you but thank you for the offer.

I have had a couple Of hysteroscopies and a lletz recently then this biopsy 2 weeks ago, I just feel a bit concerned about it all x
