Exhausted waiting for biopsy

Three weeks ago I went for my routine mammogram. A week ago recieved a letter that I needed further test. Had another mammogram, ultrasound scan and a biopsy. The staff were so calming and helpful. I was told my results would be given  today, through another appointment. I got a phonecall today, telling me my results aren't back and rearranged a new appointment for next Thursday. I always considered my self quite a calm person. However the past week has been horrendous. I am completely all over. I feel guilt for feeling how I do. My sleep has been none existent. I guess its all anxiety but I cannot believe I feel like this. Since the phonecall this morning I feel completely washed out with no energy. How am I going to keep myself going when all I feel like doing hibernating

  • I am in a similar time frame, had a biopsy on Thursday but told I wouldn't get results for 2-3 weeks.  Funnily enough, I am sleeping well, I am doing loads of research, looking at natural health supplements that may support any treatment I need to have.  Gut health is very important, well its important for us anyway.  I have a great recipe book called Nourish, The Cancer Care Cookbook by Penny Brohn.  Its got some really tasty recipes in it, used it a lot when my OH was diagnosed with lymphoma 9 years ago.  Exercise is also important, with 4 lurchers I do walk a lot except they are refusing to venture out in this horrible weather, just dashing out to do the necessary.  I haven't done any workouts for a few weeks as I broke my ribs falling off a horse, the CT scan reveals 6 breaks and what the radiologist thought was a fibroadenoma on my breast and recommended referral to the breast clinic which is why I am where I am now although fibroadenoma has been ruled out because the shape is wrong and the lack of defined edges shown on the ultrasound.  Workouts start again on Monday, I think the ribs are up to it and my biopsy site is fine. I find researching and being prepared suits me better than not knowing what could go on.  I know some people don't really want to know specifics.  I have ordered probiotics, at least, for me, the feeling that I am doing something really helps.  I did have my first very short tearful blip this morning since finding out that on a 1-5 scale, they scored a 4 as the cancer possibility.  I hope you get negative results and they come through very soon for you.
