Body Aches

I’m just wondering if anyone has ever experienced similar to what I am, and what it ended up being… so I started experiencing boob ache last November on and off throughout everyday, I then a few weeks after started to develop shoulder blade ache which also could be felt down my arm and in my hand, it would come and go but would happen everyday. In January it all went away and then a month or so ago came back so I went to the doctors after going many times as I was so paranoid I had breast cancer, I had an ultrasound and an examination and they said everything was fine.

The boob ache has gone now, it has been for a couple of weeks however this past week I’ve noticed I’m getting deep aches all over my body! I get it mostly in my forearm of both arms now, the top bit of my arm, palms and wrists, down my shin, ankles and the side of one of my thighs, obviously the worst thing to do is google anything as it will tell you the worst of the worst! But it’s hard not to when you’re looking for an answer…. I’ve read bone cancer can cause this and now I’m going out my kind thinking it’s that as I can’t find any answers as to what else can cause these aches all over!! The tops of my arms generally feel weak and dull.

Last night I also noticed a type of lump/swelling on the inside of my forearm but it’s not like a hard round lump, it feels more soft like muscle type feel, has anyone got any ideas towards what it could sound like other than bone cancer? I am going to be calling the doctors on Monday so I’m aware nothing can be diagnosed over this forum I’m just looking for some advice, from one very paranoid 26 year old!

  • Hello Larny2801,

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have experienced similar symptoms. It's reassuring that previous ultrasound and tests didn't flag anything suspicious but I can imagine these aches all over your body have been a source of stress, worry and pain and I hope that you can talk to your doctor about these and that you feel better soon. You are right when you say though that Googling anything is the worst thing you could possibly do and you've seen it yourself with our own eyes that things like bone cancer come up when they are the least likely explanation so it's important to stay well away from Google. I think your symptoms need assessing though by a medical professional so you are doing the right thing calling your doctor on Monday.

Best of luck for your appointment on Monday - I hope it all goes well and that you find out what is causing these symptoms.

    Best wishes,
