1 lump doctor found a second

Hello, I’m new here.

I will start by being honest. I am scared as hell!!. Let me start at the beginning.

2-3 months ago I found a little small lump in my left breast, thought nothing of it and to be honest I was in the mindset of “ is it a lump or not?” - fast forward to now time I decided actually no I have a “ niggling” feeling that I need to go to the doctors about this. I’m more exhausted, and my body is just “ giving me this vibe”…. Go there, breast exam… he finds a larger lump on my left breast and just a slight inflammation of the lymph’s. least to say I was a little shocked!

and now I await my referral which is on the 17th of July. I am absolutely petrified!! I would rather just know if it is the C word or not so I deal with it mentally!

did anyone else feel like there body was telling them something? Or became more exhausted just before diagnosis??

  • hi Lou

  • Hello!

thank you for taking the time to respond, I really appreciate it. What other symptoms did you have?

my breast just feels heavy, but my body is telling me something Is off. I’m normally tired but this is a different wave I’ve never felt before my whole body just feels achy almost. I’m only 30 and a mother to a 9 year old I’ve always been on the go and all of a sudden I feel I barley can wake up in the mornings now. Xx

  • Worried

aww bless you , I didn’t feel any lump just a heavyness in my left breast I wasn’t prepared for a diagnosis I thought I was being paranoid as my friend was diagnosed a few months prior xx

  • I was told at my biopsy that it looked suspicious so I was sort of prepared for biopsy results 7 days later confirming it x

  • But honestly I flew through it all I didn’t cry once I worked right through didn’t change a single thing held my head up big girl pants on and it worked for me not once was I giving up to cancer no chance xx the scary thing was the waiting once I knew what o was facing I was fine .

you are young your lumps could be lots of things I see this here all the time my lovely honestly xx

how long have you got to wait for results ? Xx

  • Laraj

im sorry to hear about your diagnosis and glad your doing okay now!

to be honest I can deal with cancer it’s just the waiting, the unknown is horrendous!! I have my appointment on the 17th so hopefully get some information on what is going on. But I know just someth g is weird with my body.. I sound crazy  I know haha

    xx

  • I understand, I felt that something wasn’t ok myself strange but I sort of knew x

  • Good luck with your appointment hun. I’m waiting my appointment too which is on 27th July. It’s hell isn’t it the waiting.
Mine feels like yours too heavy, and just not right plus other symptoms.
Wish you all the luck xx

  • Before my wife found her lump (it also turned out there were 2 lumps), she had painful back issues, a horrid cough that was present for months and something i had been nagging her to go see about. She was also shattered. More so than usual.

Fast forward to her getting the diagnosis confirmed and our first appointment with the oncologist after all the scans had been taken. Her cough was allergies, her back issue was mechanical, and her tiredness was stress. She had been basically looking after her frail parents for 3 years previous to that whilst working in a stressful full time job.  Nothing whatsoever to do with the cancer. The oncologist said the size of her breast cancer doesn't tend to cause tiredness. Her cancer was around 5cm, the second tumour was around 3cm, and she had 2 lymph nodes that had decided to join in the festivities too. So her cancer was quite the size, and was triple positive to boot.

My point is, it's entirely possible you have 2 different things going on. Not saying your body can't be telling you something, but the chances that tiredness is linked is currently slim.
