Urologist didn’t biopsy red patch in bladder

Hi, this is my first post.  A junior urologist found a red patch in my bladder a few weeks ago. It was .5cm but he wasn’t sure what it was so arranged a further cystoscopy with biopsy with a senior urologist.  I had anaesthetic and when I came round the consultant said he hadn’t done a biopsy as it wasn’t necessary.  I was relieved as I assumed his expertise guided his judgement and the red patch wasn’t cancerous.   I’m now wondering what the  red patch is/was and a bit concerned. I’ve asked him through his secretary.  I went privately for this for my peace of mind.  Does this sound ok to you ie not doing a biopsy ? Thanks for your help .
