it’s a scary time I had breast cancer last year however fully back to normal life now .

Try  not to worry to much only 2 in 10 breast clinic referal end up with a diagnosis , lots of lunps turn out benign the only way to no this unfortunately is by going to the breast clinic .

Hello HJW89. I completely understand how you're feeling. I found a hard lump during the evening of the 6th of June whilst in the shower. I called the doctor the following day at 8am and got an appointment for 9.10am. She confirmed a lump and referred me to the breast unit at my local hospital. That evening I got a call from the hospital asking me to attend an appointment on Monday the 12th. I saw the consultant, who also confirmed a suspicious lump and said I would need a mammogram and an ultrasound. I had a mammogram this Tuesday. They sent me straight for an ultrasound and then took a biopsy. I'm waiting for the results, but I realise I must be patient as it's only been 2 days since they took it. I am so thankful that the whole process has been fast; I haven't had time to think about it as my feet haven't touched the floor since the 6th of June. Whatever the result, even if it is terrible, I am confident I will be ok. The consultant who did the biopsy assures me that it's an isolated lump; if it is cancer, it's treatable. I asked her, 'Is this the end of me' and her reply was, 'No, absolutely not'. I have my fingers crossed for you and hope the process goes swiftly. It's definitely the waiting that is the hardest!

Thank you so much for asking. Everything was fine,  they did an ultra scan and then I went for a full breast check with consultant and got the ok apparently I just have lumpy boobs. Feel very relieved thank you so much for all your support xx
