Hi Jem86,I'm sorry for the anxiety your feeling due to you  having  to wait for your results,I do understand how your feeling as many of us on here have been through the same, wanting to know,but at the same time not wanting to know. 

It realy is hard to deal with,but I tried to turn my worries and anxiety into positive thoughts,I turned thrm around in my head as it was driving me crazy waiting . I said to myself...think yourself lucky you've actualy found the lump, you can get it sorted if it turns out to be cancer, you can start to take any treatments necessary to remove the cancer,yes I had to wait for results but I'd started on the right track  and if it was cancer  hopefully I'd caught it early enough so I could eventually be free of it. 

This in itself helped me to see the positive sides, mine did turn out to be breast  cancer  in my right breast,and yes the results hit me like a ton of bricks. It has spread to my lymph nodes, so I had a lumpectomy and all lympth nodes were removed from under my right arm. That was in May 2020,I had to also have eight  rounds of chemotherapy, i lost all my hair got through it  ,and then had 15 rounds of Radiotherapy,  for three weeks .

I didnt experience any sickness,I wasn't sick once, whilst having  chemotherapy, I thought I'd be sick so that waa good,I was actually hungry because of the steroids I was given lol,wasn't expecting that. Yes there were a few unpleasant moments,and yes it did make you tired,but it waa doable, it realy wasn't half as bad as I'd made it all  out to be inside my head.  So believe me what ever your results turns out to be,you will be ok. I'm still here and was very well looked after,I'm on Letrazole for 10 yrs now. 

Good luck  I do hope your results come through quick,and isn't cancer,but if it is ,you will get through it all,having a discussion with the oncologist  and a plan of action really helps. Always popping on here from time to time,as there are so many lovely people on here ,that may also reach out to you,with some helpful words and reassurance. Do hope all goes well,and always here to chat about things if you wish to.

sorry you are here , yes same happened to me went for a check expecting to go home with no worries but mine turned out bad news that was July last year , I’m now back to full life living like it never happened..

thank you for your reply. Sorry to hear what you went through. It sounds like you were very positive I’m hoping I get to that point. I’m distracting myself with work but every now and then I have a meltdown.

That’s amazing you are recovered and back to normal life.
