Hi all.

I found a lump in my right breast on Monday. 

I went to my GP Monday afternoon and she checked my armpits - all ok and no changes to breast.

She checked to see if she could move it and she said she could.

She has referred me to breast clinic as she said it was quite large but said the wait is about 6 weeks.

Now I am trying to take comfort from the fact she hasn't urgently referred me but I am still terrified.

I am 44 and got my period day before I found lump and she did mention it could be a "breast mouse"

I am contemplating going private to find out but I don't know if I can afford it.

I suppose I am looking for reassurance if any can be given xx
